About ICG Internships

  • ICG invests substantial resources in identifying, recruiting, and retaining talented students in relevant fields as part of our long-term talent acquisition strategy.   Internships form the backbone of these efforts.

  • ICG internships are amongst the most well compensated internships in the education and policy sectors worldwide.  Internships are also highly selective with up to 40 applicants per internship.

  • ICG offers five kinds of internships and research positions to undergraduate and graduate students as well as recent graduates from around the world:
  • Summer internships in our California headquarter.  These internships run between 10-12 weeks and are compensated at the top of the market.  Summer internships are highly competitive with more than 40 applications per internship position.
  • Short-term internships (mostly in January) in our California headquarter.  These internships run between 2-3 weeks and are intended for undergraduate students (sophmores, juniors).  Short-term internships are only available to students who can participate in such an internship outside term times.
  • Professional year internships in our California headquarter for recent graduates.  These internships run for a full twelve months and are compensated competitively.  Professional year internships are highly selective and intellectually demanding.
  • Analyst internships are available to graduate level students or recent graduates from a Master's or a Ph.D. program with a strong quantitative focus.  Analyst internships are location independent and run for three to six months.
  • Research positions are similar to summer internships but are location independent.  Researchers are being retained for specific project work ranging from six weeks up to one year.
